In 1998 a real estate project planned to convert Hacienda Zorita into a development of semi-detached houses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In 1999 The Haciendas Company acquired the property from the real estate developers and carried out the first intervention to avoid ruins and begin its restoration. Specifically of the current Bodega de Crianza designed by the illustrious architect Jose Mar\u00eda P\u00e9rez Gonz\u00e1lez, known as Peridis in his work as a cartoonist and comedian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Peridis&#8217; unique design highlights the spectacular roof of the Bodega, which, in homage to Christopher Columbus&#8217; stay at Hacienda Zorita, is reminiscent of an inverted Caravel.
